Yes...it was nuts. It was crazy. It was energetic. But what else is to be expected from an event called "FRENZY"?
This past weekend was the much anticipated and muchly awesome 3 day Junior High event that rocks worlds and is talked about for generations and generations! The Frenzy is complete 7th and 8th grade madness from water games, inflatables and messy challenges to awesome worship, incredible memories, and way too many fast food dinners! This year was a total blast...mostly because we had a ton of amazing High Schoolers who volunteered their time to help out! I had such a great time with them being loud and crazy (far from my normal composed and quite self)!
This, being the 4th year that I have been a part of the Frenzy, was the 1st time that I came home on the first night and realized that I am not 17 anymore. I limped out of bed on Sunday morning and have been complaining of backaches and pulled muscles ever since. Who knows if I have it in me for another one...but goodness knows...this was one of my favs! Here are some pics of our awesome students...being awesome!!
And yes...that IS Erik in a lion costume.
What happens at the Frenzy, stays at the Frenzy.

NA NA NA NA!
There is hardly anything quite like an overnight in Santa Cruz, CA! And there is absolutely NOTHING like an overnight in Santa Cruz with some of the best friends that anyone can have!
In honor of friendships, marriage, new jobs, new callings, 1 year finished of seminary, and a 2nd somewhat-annual trip together, the Nunans and Andersons took Santa Cruz by storm on Wednesday night! We had such a blast catching up, hanging out, drinking Starbucks doubleshots and laughing till all of our ab muscles ached through to the next day!
We are so thankful to have such incredible friends and will miss them dearly as they venture into a new chapter of life in Fort Collins! THE ANDERSONS LOVE THE NUNANS!!!!

Pinning.
Ok...have we all experienced Pinterest? And have we all decided that it should be called "Pin-obsession"? I can't stop, people. I have a serious problem. I'm a board and a pin away from checking myself into rehab. Or should we say (insert cheesy catchphrase) "Pin-hab"?
If you haven't heard about it...I apologize in advance. You will probably need to check into "pin-hab" with me once you do. My friend, Katie, introduced me. It was like a REALLY good blind date. One of those ones where you show up at a friend's house thinking that you are going to just hang out, but secretly they have invited over another friend that you don't know as they cross their fingers and hope for fireworks and shooting stars at first meet.
Like that.
Only better.
So, my friends...may I give you another reason to spend way to much time on the internet obsessing over things you love... pinterest.com.

Spicin' Up the Laundry Phase 1 : The Plan
If I could change one thing about my apartment it would be...
Ok...let's be honest...it would be like a million things! This is a game that Erik and I often play when we don't want to talk about anything else. The answers usually end up somewhere around knocking walls down and ripping out floors. But seeing as a renter does not have these privileges...we are forced to become even more creative in doing not so permanent, inexpensive, uber-efficient fixes.
Which leads me to....THE EYESORE. Urban dictionary defines it as "something very ugly", using the word in a sentence, "Since you painted your house electric pink it has become the eyesore of the neighbourhood." I feel we have covered our definition bases.
My Electric Pink Eyesore would be the giant stackable washer/dryer unit in my kitchen. It is not pink...although that may add character. However, it is "a very ugly thing."
So, in an ever-challenging effort to transform a rentable space into a livable home...I would like to introduce our beginning summer project....HIDE THE EYESORE!
Right now, our plans are in the works...but here are a few photos of what we are thinking....

The plan includes plywood, paint, nails, screws, hammer, drill, saw, a curtain rod, and a curtain. Let the blueprints begin!!
